I wanted to have a place to change my future baby, but it really didn’t make sense to me to build a dedicated changing table, so instead I made this changing tray to sit on top of the dresser I made. It’s made from curly soft maple, with maple veneered plywood for the base. There aren’t any screws underneath the walnut dowels, I just like the look of using through walnut dowels.

The final picture is the picture frame I made to hold my wife’s cross stitching announcing our Son’s birth, (just the name so far T minus 25 days!)

Looks great! I might have to build one just like it to match my dresser I just built. Did you use dowels for the joints or trim srews with plugs? I have always liked the look of curly maple. Good job!
