Simple Bread Boxes

These are some simple little bread boxes that I made out of pine to go in my booth. I did one with just a clear finish, one stained with red mahogany, and two painted and distressed. I did the four different finishes just to see which ones sold better. So far its painted and distressed 1 and the others 0. What is it with the distressed look. People are crazy over it right now.

Are they making a come back again….I starte my woodwoorking hobby back in the early 70’s by making thouse from wood given to me. Nice work

Yeah the distresses ones are pretty popular. I haven’t sold any of the stained or natural yet. I remember when the roll top ones were the big thing but you don’t see them much anymore and I don’t know if you could get your money back for one. Personally I like the role top ones but I doubt people would pay for the time it takes to make one when they can get a metal one at walmart for a little bit of nothing.
