Three more examples of my handmade tiles, framed in quartersawn white oak.

Finish is anilyne dye and mahogany oil stain. Seedlac shellac and dark wax.

All my tiles start as mahogany relief woodcarvings, then … made into plaster molds, pressed stoneware clay

and kiln fired … these are to cone 5, 2185 degrees. Axners stoneware p-clay.

The green one is inspired by woodblock prints by Birger Sandzen. Glaze recipe courtesy of Laura Reautter,

founder of Ravenstone Tileworks .

Castle and Scarabe tiles are anitique bronze finish as shown in my blogs.

These are great! Could you show the mahogany molds that you carved?

Very nice. I like the dark oak stain. Sets the tiles off well.

Great stuff, Dan. The style is distinctly your own and very recognizable.
