My father in law and I teamed up to produce this alder pie safe as a gift to my wife. She picked out the punched tin panels. If you look closely you see that the top panels are apple blossom branches, the middle panels are apple tree branches with apples and the bottom panels are apple pies. It was constructed from alder and stained with General Finishes Prairie Wheat and finished with General Finishes Satin Gel Topcoat.

A great design. Charles Neil has 24 videos on Youtube on making a piesafe.

I’ve downloaded them all to my computer about 9GB worth.

My wife seamed interested in one also. Yours looks fantastic and I like the tin design.

Really nice. I thought it was cherry when I first saw it. I love the punched tin and the door catches.
