This is my first band saw box so i know it needs a little more sanding and a finish . havent learnt much on the finishing yet but am studing it on the web will go thur the hands on soon.i think this really is my 2 nd the first one r ever heard of bandsaw boxs was at a web site ‘wood working for mere mortals’ this guy is really a good teacher and fun to learn with i made one with him r the way he said to. my kids got it dont know where it went you know how that goes. anyway, this i got from a book i got on ebay—MAKING WOOD BOXES WITH A BAND SAW—by TOM CRABB it was a learning thing for sure.was fun .i think from here on im going to make two of what ever i make because the first one is just a bunch of redoing and re glueing. im new to this wood working and want to think all of the LJ that retired and tried to get into welding its to hot and heavy and found that wood workers are more than happy to show and help you with this craft than they is more relaxing and enjoyable anyway most the time too.O yea this was made out of cypress boards that was given to me i ran them thue my planer and glued them together . i think i learned a few new curse word with this duck thou LOL

Hi Eddie, great start on the duck box. I made a few of those years ago and in fact a walnut duck box was the first piece of woodworking that I ever sold. Larry

That’s a nice duck. Welcome to Lumberjocks.
