Hello everyone, hope all are enjoying the wonderful summer weather. Today we have a run of boxes in two styles one of my favorite the bevel box and a sort incorporated Andy style box with the bevel style top. Made from Cherry, Bird Eye Maple and Padauk. I used the hinge pin method on the Andy style box which work out great and save sometime during construction . I used a Danish oil stain and Shellac for the finish and may apply a coat of wax on one of the Rip Tide box to see it visual effect when time permits. I have a couple more on the work bench waiting to be completed just thought I take a break from the extreme heat wave which is cooking the Mid West at this time. Take care enjoy the summer weather…Wilson

Hi Wilson. I know the expression is used a lot but these are genuine eye candy. Nice looking and nicely crafted boxes my friend! Stay cool.

Great boxes with beautiful wood choices/combinations. Your carving skills are impressive as well. My carving/sculpting attempts tend to look like “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”.
