This five board bench is made from tulip poplar, entirely with hand tools. Boards flattened with handplanes, beaded with a Stanley 45, curves cut with a coping saw and smoothed with spokeshave and files. Assembled with cut nails and finished with one coat of golden oak stain covered with milk paint. It looks delicate, but is amazingly solid.

Very nice.. I like it! I like the old-fashioned look, built the old-fashioned way!
