This is my first attempt at a segmented bowl with a feature ring, I shall call it “Learning Experience” A few mistakes were made, but it was a lot of fun. Wood is black maple, with some maple veneer and mahogany for the feature ring
Second pic is some random segmented bowls I have made, mainly to learn and refine bowl making.

Great first attempt at zig-zag. I have put together my first zigzag ring and it is on the bench awaiting to be finished. I am waiting for cooler weather to finish it. Look forward to more of your creations.

Great looking bowls. Segmented turnings are on my “one-of-these-days” list.

Your learning experience is great, as are your other bowls. Looks like you are enjoying your hobby, it is a
great feeling when after patiently glueing all the pieces and carefully turning them, you get that first coat
of finish on and watch the wood really strut it’s stuff. Hope you enjoy many happy hours at the lathe. Thank
you for sharing.
