Hi LJsThis is a walnut and Osage Orange for the lid lift. I made it almost completely out of firewood except for the ply wood for the bottom. I’ll probably be building some more so tell me what I can improve!! ThanksWoodWorkingGeek

Its a great box. You could miter the ends instead of having end grain.

Only half of the end grain is showing. I think i’ts called something like a half lap joint.

Nice job, the walnut is beautiful.
Might want to try insetting the bottom in dados/slots on the inner surface of the sides.
