Probably a couple months ago I started glueing this face together not really having any plans. I came up with this ‘floating’ idea inside a case and thought this face would go good. It’s mounted by 3 dowels from behind to a clear piece of plexi. I finally finished it tonight.

Hey now that is pretty cool, great idea. How about a picture of the back of it so we can see how it is mounted? I really like it.

Thanks everyone. It was just an experiment for the most part, but I think I’ll be doing more like this in the future.
Oh and I forgot to write, the face is maple, red oak, bloodwood and an unknown wood for the small squares. The pendulum is maple and padduck and the case is dark walnut stained poplar.

It is not often I take the time to comment on clocks, but in this instance your work deserves a very well done comment.
It seems that time is just floating away!
