I made this dining room table completely out of cherry. The stain used is a custom blend designed by Woodsmith, which you may have seen on several of their cherry projects. The difficulty with this project was from jointing the edges of 72” long boards with a 6” bench top jointer.

Very nice looking table. We can appreciate the difficulty in jointing your table, but you overcame the challenge with flying colors!

Thanks for posting.

Beautiful table and it goes well with your very cool window seat. And I know how much fun that was to build with a circular saw!

Makin me drool and drawl! That is a fine piece of furniture. You can make me one anytime.

I have felt your pain with a jointer not up to the task.

Just a FYI for future projects: here is a blog entry on how I overcame the problem of jointing long boards.

Hope you find this helpful.
