I had a chance to score some primo sugar maple that I used to turn this natural edge sugar maple bowl. Bowl is 15 inches in diameter and 7 inches tall with a uniform wall thickness of 3/16”. Sanded to 320 grit and then hand rubbed in several coats of Formbys gloss tung oil, sanding in between each coat with steel wool. This piece has already found a happy new owner.

I can see the maple sugar in the bottom. Great turning.
