Our little one started moving around this week so we started thinking about a gate for the top of the stairs. After a friend offered us hers I decided that any plastic store bought junk wouldn’t meet my standards for safety and style.
I built this over the course of a week and a bit. I’ll let you all guess about the kind of wood I used. I really wanted to silver/nickel/chrome lift off hinges but our local HH doesn’t stock such.
I am mostly pleased with how it turned out and my wife is really pleased.
-- When questioned about using glue on a garbage bin I responded, "Wood working is about good technique and lots of glue........I have the glue part down."
