My son came to me this morning just after 6 and told me his bird need a house, I replayed well get them one witch he replayed – we need to build one Daddy. There was some leftover fence board in the shop from the gate I build a year ago for the Dog run. I decided to use that and because he helped me we did not go into to much detail so that he could participate in the project. This is just a very simplistic house that is very rewarding because but he feels he build it.

awesome! My daughter likes to come and help me around in the shop. I’ll build anything with her to keep her creativity going. We built a couple of birdhouses made from cedar fence boards. And to top it off we finger painted it with hers and my sons hand and foot prints on it. It was our family bird house but we mounted it up on a wall inside our house where we have our “family tree” of pictures. Love it

My youngest daughter spends every minute she can with me in the garage, sometime thinks she should have been a boy some days :)

That is the nicest project that you can make with your kids. Value that time they spend with you in the shop, because when they get older most of them never come into the shop. Too much to do with friends and they discover girls..and girls discover boys.
