Project Information

Kitchen (8'X8' with cherry fronts and plywood casing). This one took a while since I had to build 15 doors and 5 drawers.

All drawer insides are pine with handcut dovetails. One of the drawers hosts the garbage can.

All panels are either bookmatched on facing doors or bookmatched on the same pannel (if the door was too wide). The secret to the look is the custom shapes (I made a pattern for each paris of doors) and the careful selection of the wood so that parallel sties were always from the same board.

The cherry in this kitchen was only about 200$/60bf (most panels are from split boards so less cherry than you might think went into this).

Alin,

Wow! You certainly have accomplished a lot! It would take us twenty years to put together all these rooms with furniture, kitchen, and bathrooms. You've done a fantastic job. It's obvious you really love cherry. It looks great! Thanks for sharing all your great work!
