This is my debut project for this site. Hope you like it. This was a Christmas present I was asked to make. The box is purpleheart and birdseye maple, and the tiles are purpleheart. Kay

This is an interesting combination of woods. I find it hard to see the details of the project but what I can see looks good. You may want to post more pictures next time and include different angles. I also would have liked to see the entire box with the lid closed.

How did you finish the piece?

The domino set was finished with a spray lacquer. The dots and lines were laser engraved and have silver leaf in them. My real picture was too large, so I messed with it to make it fit… shouldn’ta done that I suppose, so if you have any hints about reducing the size of a picture to be acceptable, I’m all ears… :)
