This is my first project here in North Carolina. The old stairs were pretty sad and I had to rebuild them to make way for my sister’s handicap lift which is scheduled to be installed next week. Basically everything was redone…I found the handrail to be the least fun.

Whether or not you had fun, you did a good job!

I agree with Bear…did you turn everything yourself?

OMG No…I used store bought pieces…I haven’t turned stock in a very long time. I have a couple other projects that I am anxious to start. One is a late 18th century ball and claw secretary’s desk that I found in a consignment shop for $269.00. Brought it home and currently using it as a desk right now. Hoping to completely refinish it in the next 30-60 days. I’ll post a picture under a new project soon. The other project is a cedar box large enough for all my remote controls in the media room. I found it also in the consignment shop for $7.00. Right now it is very ugly, but the wood grain is stunning.
