I beleive this is a found wood art piece. I scour the creek bottoms of Texas ranches exploring and letting the souls of nature effect my heart. I look for logs that have been rolling because of floods polished by water and smooth rocks to get a beautifully textured look. This piece is a turned walnut bowl from a river bottom quilted from it’s crotch with bark inclusion. The curved piece is from a cherry hollowed log rotted out from the inside but leaving the rich outside for me to create my visions. The base is Wenge to hold it all together as a dark base framing the spirialing and curved pieces. All this and Heaven too.
