Thanks WoodGal for this “borrowed” design. I made it a favorite quite some time back and finally got a chance to make one for my home. It’s in a new planting bed and will have climbing roses on it (another project).

It’s made with cedar and copper. Stands 6’ above grade, 4’ below, and is 5 1/2’ wide. It was really an enjoyable project.

I like it. Nice job.

Out of curiosity, did you cement the posts? Or went 4’ to get the stability without cement?

I have a friend who owns a fence company, and she recommended getting the posts to the frost line if I want it to last through the years without “heaving”. And they are cemented in. Thanks for the comments!
