Here’s another project that I finally got around to posting that I did a while back. This project is of an old fashioned Porch Rocker that I wanted for my family room. Shown with the photo is another of those rockers that I’ve made for the small fries of family & friends. Here’s a link to the sight with the Porch Rocker Plans. In the plans they show five (5) spindles in the back portion. I chose to use seven (7) spindles. I thought that the rocker with only five spindles looked incomplete so I added two more. Except for the spindles & an applique, the rocker is made completely from 3/4” Oak. And after seeing the finished project, I feel that adding the two more spindles was the right thing to do. The spindles were purchased from the Wood & Shop. The applique came from Rockler. Golden Oak Minwax stain was used with a polyeurathane finish. The plans were easy enough to follow & it made for a large comfortable rocker.

Frank, you aren’t helping me shorten my list of projects to try with a cool rocker like that! lol
If mine comes out half as nice as yours, I’ll be happy.
Thanks.
