this table i built for my son ,built from ash,walnut and a wipe-on poly mix there are 3 cross rails mortised into the long rails and raised 3/8” to give the floating look

I like pic #4. Did you build the workbench as well? That is also a nice looking workbench. I like the floating look of the table top.
