Hi all! After watching Steve’s video a while back.. I had to try this!! (Thanks Steve!!)

I had a handful of small cedar logs laying around from a tree I cut about 4-5 years ago, so I thought I’d see what I could do with it.

Honestly, I went at this one kind of ‘quick and dirty’, as I was really looking to use the experience as practice for a box I wanted to make as a gift.

I jumped the gun in starting the cut for the drawer cavity, and thus the cutout in the front of the drawer, and the flaw in the back (in the last pic)

No finish applied as of yet.

Any and all comments are welcome!

Nice use of the log, the coloration is awesome! I can only imagine how the finish will pop this out even more

Nice. I just finished restoring an old bandsaw, so I’ll have to join the bandsaw box club someday soon.
