That is just beautiful! What did you use to make the eyes black? I love koi! They look so flowing on this piece. You do such a wonderful job and I really admire your talent!

why thank you Sheila,
the eyes are made from ebony,had some left over from another carving so I just shaped them into eyes ,seemed to work great
your zest for writing still floors me lol

Very impressive! Did you know that the largest recorded live koi is near 60” long?

I look at LJ every day but don’t comment often but I had to say that I really like this lawn sculpture! I have a Koi pond I built in my back yard almost 10 years ago and they are cool fish. Your piece of art does a great job of capturing something special about them.
