Serving Tray

This is my first major project in a few years probably over 10 years since High School, and its a serving tray made of pine sandwiched between redwood. The redwood came from a fence picket that I planed down and sanded smooth. The pine was a few 2×4’s jointed together with a biscuit jointer. Finished with Polyurethane, according to what I read after 30 days it should be safe to eat out of, probably just use it for popcorn or chips and salsa. Ah I liked it took over 1-1/2 years to complete not because it was hard but because I have two small boys that took a lot of attention.
