This is the first half of the Feather Ornament collection by Shelia Landry. These are actually my first attempts at cutting these and since I learned how to sand with higher grits, I am very proud of how they turned out.

Since I like to keep things as natural as I can; these are cut from pine, sanded up to 800 grit and sprayed with Krylon Gloss spray for the finish. I added twine for the hanger, pony beads and feathers for the finishing touch.

Looking good! I like the tied on feathers, it does add a little something to them. Have you given the 2 wood technique a try? It’s quite easy to do although maybe the instructions make it sound harder than it really is. I did ‘em that way because without tying on feathers as you did, mine would have looked kinda plain.

Kieth, I will try the two wood way later when I can get my wood the same thickness. LMAO. Just trying to use scraps right now, and I like the way the grain works on these.
Thanks for the compliments!!

And thank you too Barb!
