Scraps of wood makes you do funny things. The Siamese spoons, political correctness ’ conjoined spoons’ came from my cut-offs when I made a boot from a chunk of Mayday (Mammy Yokum’s boot). Cutting the boot blank I had removed the bark and remnants of two branches. I didn’t have the heart to separate the piece, hence the ‘conjoined spoons’!
The other spoon came from a cut off when I did the boot from a mahogany skid. The holes are from the nails that I removed and I had the notion to call the spoon ‘Hole-in-one’ but since there were two holes the name ‘Buckshot’ came to mind
This spoon carving is a joy and I blame this diversion on Spoontaneous and LittlePaw. They made me go astray!!!
I will recover!

Yeeeeeha! If I can influence an accomplished woodworker like Roman, I consider that an achievement in itself! I’m having fun getting off track – maybe for a while, anyway. I hope you are also, Roman! LOL :-}}}}}}}

Ahhh yeah. Sitting outside carving spoons and the rest of the world just fades away.
Nothing like it.
