Wenge Zen Table. Finished with teak oil.

I’ll file this idea away. If I ever get around to making another one, I think it will turn out better. The legs need to be the same thickness as the tabletops to get the right look. These legs are too thin to make a sturdy table and sturdy joints. Next time, I’ll need to start with thicker wood.

This is not an original design of mine. I saw a similar table somewhere on the internet, saved the photo to my “idea book” and gave it a try.

This is a curious design with very difficult joinery. What is the supposed function of the lower top? How is it “Zen”? Do you have three way miters everywhere? Ouch.
