Here are a few strawberry towers I built for our garden. One was done in time to get some plants into this year. The other one came later and only has a watermellon in it for now. I drilled holes down the sides for the strawberries to spread into on the first tower. On the second tower I burned my cheap harbor frieght drill out when the spade bit caught. I’m looking for some auger bits and then a brace to finish these holes, to heck with electric drills!

Intersting build out of what looks like 2×4’s. Pretty cool

Did you finish/seal the inside to help prevent water damage?

Yes, it is just 2×4’s from the BORG. I didn’t finish or treat any of the wood. I’m concerned about how long all of this will last but everything I read on the garden sites said that treating the wood could be bad for the plants and that using cedar would kill some plants as well. We’ll see how it holds up, I’m shooting for at least five years but we’ll see.
