As the Mrs. and I were returning the Christmas decorations to their ‘summer home’ I found a couple of items that I made a few years ago … faux stained glass panels. As I recall now there were 10 total in the set and these were the two that my wife decided she wanted for herself. The rest were given as gifts to friends and had various holiday related designs.
Very simple construction – oak frames with a groove in which to set the glass… the designs came from a couple of my neice’s coloring books and I used a special ‘stained glass’ paint to apply the design. The overall dimensions are 14” x 12 3/4” for the snowman and tree with the ornaments coming in at 14” x 7 1/2”.
Now that I found them I think I may have to kick out a few more and try some newly discovered techniques (keyed corners, etc) to cover the sprint/summer holidays!
Thanks for looking

If my wife sees these, I’ll be trying to copy them.

Dan,
The design on these while simple is very effective. These are nice pieces. To be honest with you I wouldn’t know where to start with a stained glass project. This takes more of an artistic touch- something with which I was not endowed.
Thanks for the post.
