Maloof Inspired Low Back Dining Chair utilizing Charles Brock’s plans. Built using walnut with ebony plugs. Finished with a combination of Poly, Tung Oil, & Boiled Linseed Oil – 2 coats o far and will add another 3 – 4 coats. Building took 2 weeks of nights and weekends.

Nice use of the sapwood, I like how it provides a bit of contrast to the Walnut, thanks for sharing.

You have a very nice collection of different chairs too. All are well done. can you comment on you seat scooping? by hand w/ a scorp or power tool ?

The seat is carved with an angle grinder and a carbine tipped cutter head
