Originally this table was going to be all cherry, but somehow I ended up with a top panel that was glued up about 4 inches short and 2 inches narrow. Milled some rough cut maple and voila, a new top panel. Mortise and tenon joints all the way around, even did a deep mortise and tenon to keep the top on. Not sure if that was the best approach, but it works for now.

Thats really nice looking. Is the bottom also mortise and tenon joinery into the legs? What did you use for a finish?
