This project was for my Wife’s sister for Highschool graduation. It is made of red oak milled from backyard trees. The boards were 12 to 14 inches wide and 12 feet long milled to 13/16’s thick. This plan came from an older issue of Woodsmith. It has storage inside with a tray that sits on a lip plus a drawer in the front. The top has a full mortise lock and key. this was a great project to build for medium skill. Thanks for taking the time to check it out.

Looks great! The wide boards make for a very pleasing grain feature. How ‘bout a pic of the inside?

Looks great and using the boards from the yard adds that extra touch. Hope all is well.

This piece is so nice and the wood is beautiful. I love the overall design of the chest as well. Congratulations.
