This wood was horse stalls in my dads barn for 53 years. I glued up a block, sawed out a box, applied numerous coats of wiped on Spar, waxed and done.

What type of wood did your use? What ever it is, I love the way the edges stand out…most of the time we try to hide the edges, but this really looks great. Where did you hide your in cut for the drawer?

Larry- The wood is recycled douglas fir. It was painted/stained with redwood color. I sanded all the dirt, manure, bird crap, and paint stain with 50 grit in my drum sander. I then planed it very lightly as I liked the way some of the stain/paint had penetrated into the wood. Thats why I oriented the boards in the direction I did. Look closely at the third pic and youll see the cut. I thought it stood out like a diamond in a goats a$$!
