Not a cutting board, but it is end grain. Top is end grain doug fir, oak,Ipe,Jatoba, etc. Box is Jatoba and oak with my first wooden hinges ofmahogany doweled to box with oak dowels. The bottom of box is doug fir from my dads barn doweled to sides with oak. An older project that Hunter is helping me post.

That looks like a bold attempt to cover all bases at once, end grain for the end grain boys, wooden hinges for the wooden hinges caucus, box joints for the joiners and recycled wood for the eco- aware. Did I miss anything?
You should get a whole sleeve full of badges for this one.
Nice box.

What an interesting combination! I know the end grain took some time, haven’t seen this combination. Nice job

I nearly missed this one… the hinge is the one that I like to try. Now, it is proven that it works. This box is really a product of all skills of the maker. Thanks

Sorry, but it is an 1/8 inch too small, otherwise you would be a merit badge ;-)) As has been said, I can’t think of a base you missed on this one!! ;-)) Good job.
