I like the idea of using the entire log. The drawers are seemingly random, giving it a whimsical feel too.

Before I fell asleep last night I was thinking about the small second-hand bandsaw I picked up during the day – which will have a 1/8th blade for making the tight curve cuts on bandsaw boxes (I can’t get narrow blades to run in my other saw) – and fell to musing about making boxes from ‘logs’ or branches. I wondered whether it would be feasible, and what the result might look like.
Now I know – Great!
Mind you, I might have to search a bit to find similar logs with those nice dark bands running through them! LOL
