the first table above is one we finished last week and it is based on the third photo which is of a table we built about 7 or 8 years ago … the pedestal column is different, but the edge and center inlays are the same. lots of pictures (about 25) and steps detailed on my dorset custom furniture blog ... check it our if you’re interested … it was a challenging project ..

Dan, this is another great project. Thank you for sharing with us your expertise. I really like that custom banding around the rim. Great use of veneers as well.

Absolutely beautiful job! I love the woods used, as the blonde maple gives a more modern flair than a darker wood and even with the complex design of the piece it has an understated flair to it that I really enjoy viewing. A very impressive piece and the blog helps to understand how much work and planning went into the production.
