Clamp Storage

Got tired of digging through the pile of clamps laying everywhere and decided to get organized. This rack was simple to make and works great. Every separate section of the bracket can hold up to 5 Bessey k-body style bar clamps so the capacity is pretty sweet. And there is room in front of the extension bars for other styles to clamp on.

I think this is the first clamp storage that does what I do…hang clamps fully open. I’ve never ever reached for a clamp I wanted closed all the way or down to the last inch! Very frequently (probably too frequently) I’ve reached for a clamp I needed NOW! and ready to use NOW! and not wanting to be fighting to get the clamp open to put to use.

Nice clamp rack by the way.

Thanks. Having them all right there, organized and visible makes using them so much better. Now I need to devise a way to hang my pipe clamps.

I have a serious case of clamp envy now.

Looks good Beth. I love the simplicity of the design. Every woodworker needs a good amount of clamps. Equally important is space to store them. Thanks for posting a great solution.
