Antique Reclaimed Oak Rocking Chair (Platform Rocker)
Made from antique reclaimed oak salvaged from old high quality pallets. I used all wooden joinery (dowels) and patterned the chair off of one my neighbors have have. My neighbors also sewed the cushions for me as a surprise one weekend… Aaron cut out the plywood base and Mel sewed the pads and ties—I loved the cushions and Ruby uses it almost every day! Complete with “HIDDEN COMPARTMENT!”
Finished off with some stain and Minwax Tung Oil Finish (yes yes I know it’s not real Tung Oil, but I really like the finish it gives after about 4 coats, nice gloss, durable, rich colors, good grain)

How cute! Great resourcefulness using the reclaimed oak. We thought it was full size until we got to the 5th picture with the hand and then got to see the size better with your adorable little girl!
