A young man hesitated to buy my only foot ball which was displayed in Sydney Timber Show few weeks ago and walked away, but he came back after ten minutes saying ” Ok I take it ”. But it was sold within those minutes. He asked me to make another one for him. Usually I dont take order but I agreed, probablly, for the first time.
His ball and the kicking cup were ready today and he came to pick them up and obviously was very excited about it. For him, I was too.

Nice one Sam, always exciting to make a sale. Great finish and nice looking wood combination.

I can imagine that young man’s feelings, wanting the work of art, hesitating at the price, walking away and
coming back only to find it gone. I am glad that you are the craftsman and gentleman that you are, you
usually do not take orders, but when confronted by someone who really wants one of your masterpieces
and asks politely, you can not say no! It is great to be appreciated and acknowledged, but it is even better
when the master woodworker is also a gentleman. Thank you for sharing your work with that young man
and us.

Pete G, no problem at all. You can fill your cupboard with trophies by winning the games or deceive yourself and buy them. Thanks for the comment.
I’d like to thank you all for commenting on this project.
