These are great! What is the dark wood? It looks too dark for walnut

It is walnut. They are sanding to about 220 grit w/ a mineral oil and beeswax combination finish that did darkened it up quite a bit for some reason with that batch of cutting boards. It could also be the less than stellar photographer that took that picture.
