A present for my my little buddy on his first day home

I came across this picture of my (now eight year old) Lab Ranger, on his first day home, and thought I’d post it. He’s a lot cuter than the project, but it’s held up pretty well (despite my non-existent finishing skills and lots of doggie drool over the years). It seems that now these dog feeding stations are very common – I thought I was breaking new ground at the time :-)

PS – By Popular demand….pics added of Ranger, now at 8 yrs. Getting a little white in the beard, but a great dog!

Labs are the best dogs in the whole world. My daughter has a yellow lab (english). Ranger is a beauty an he sure has a fancy dinning table.

That’ll be nice when he gets a little bigger. Beautiful pup with big feet and a nice block head. He’s gonna be a big one.

Hey Guys
The picture is 8 years old. He grew up!
NDVermin…..Take a present day pic of Ranger and post it.

I had a chocolate lab named “Buddy” who died way to soon. Labs are the only dogs I would ever own.

The only drawback to these wonderful dogs is that warclub they call a tail, but as long as they train us
to put everything breakable up out if its reach, we can live with that. Thank you for sharing, and a
recent picture would be appreciated.

The warclub and the frequent licks of love.

It looks like Ranger and the feeding station have both aged well. We’ve got a half Lab/half Great Dane that is also a wonderful companion [and watch dog].

OMG!! What a cutie. I have a 8 yr. old choc. The feeding station is awesome. I think it is original with it’s custom features and dovetails.
