On the left site is the original hundred years old mold. I made the other two. I needed only one chisel and a knife.
Basswood. (is not necessity)
The second photo could be used as a pattern.

Hi Jiri,
This is an excellent post that demonstrates that it is not necessary to have a shop full of tools to be involved in woodworking. With just the minimum of hand tools you have created a very nice piece that not only looks great but it is functional as well (I assume that you can make gingerbread in it). Too often we set up artificial barriers, such as using a lack of tools as an excuse, for ourselves that prohibit us from getting involved in endeavors such as woodworking- when in reality all we need are some basic tools, a little imagination and some determination.
Thanks for the post.
-- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby.

By the way. I did it more than an hour (only carving). There are machines which made plenty of them in the same time.
