Here is some of the stuff I have made from pallet wood. Place down the road from where I work has dozens of pallets every week they put of for free, decided to pick a few up and see what I could make out of them. I have just started trying to learn segmented turning, this stuff is great for that. Wood is all maple far as I can tell, colors run from brown to clear.

I keep the house warm with mine, but I find some nice wood once in a while. Nice job.

I am starting to use pallets too. Just made a coffee table out of one. I wish I could find some nice wood in the pallets. I believe the one I had was pine and cedar. Great find and great projects.

Very nice work!! I love that segmented bowl.
Great recycled projects. You should take them to the shop that throws out the pallets to give them an idea what can come out of those discarded pallets. They must think they all get burned. It will amaze them!

I like to do that with firewood piles. I take them something that came out of their log. The last time I did that, the lady wanted to know if she could learn how to turn wood!! I offered lessons any time to get her interested! I also told her to join Lumberjocks to see the worldwide knowledge to be gained from this site.

Just goes to show its not what you’ve got its what you do with it that counts. Good post. Good projects.
