Sculpture, carved from red wood and spalted maple. Playing with the contrast of these two woods again, this piece was made to hang on the wall it was about 4 foot long. Its so much fun experimenting with form the sky is the limit.

It’s nice, I like how the growth rings in the redwood really set it off. How long did you spend on this one?

Jeff, every piece that I have seen of yours I would describe as open, alive, flowing, breathing, aflame…
This piece… closed, internalizing, self absorbing, circling, enclosing… (ya ready?) pregnant.
This is NOT criticism! Just my muse whispering up through the muck and mire of my own lack of ability to endeavor to inspire me.
Very differnt and, yes, I like it very much.
