nut cracker turned from a piece of ambrosia maple that was sitting around the shop. handle is birch, so it doesn’t show up very well. idea via racer glen. (thanks)

attainablealex i cut the threads with a thread box i purchased from woodcraft. the handle is a birch dowel which is threaded with a bottoming tap

Your future Daughter-in-law said she needs to order two of these. She is giving one to her Mom and one to her oldest brother, Mike. Mike owns a pecan farm in Missouri. Every year he brings his Mom a big sack of the pecans and she sits in her chair and breaks them open. She can’t use the plier type anymore so we will see how this works for her. Just send Gina the bill, she will be glad to pay for it.
