This Rack was built for my bar clamps and irwin quick grip clamps.
I had a few pieces of plywood that the grain was going along the width of the piece so i thought it would be good for this project as the grain has to be going along the width of the board. They are finger jointed together and the pinned in the end. then they are attached with a french cleat. On the bar clamps i put a little strip of wood along the edge so that they don’t fall out. Also on the quick grip rack i put a small strip of wood to catch on the faces of the clamps.

Pictures
1. Rack 1, shorty bar clamps
2. Rack 4, quick grip clamps, with a piece of purple heart scrap to hold them up
3. Rack 3 & 4, medium and long clamps respectively
4. the finger joints holding the pieces together
5. the pinned finger joint.

The wood for this project was scrap and i had just enough to do it. i didn’t plane it very much and it came out perfect.
Fun project and this is a big improvement of where they were stored previously, in a corner :( on the ground.

Nothing more better than a good clamp rack or two. Mine are hung on a closest clothes rod and forever in the way or misplaced. Obviously, a similar project in the wind for me!

thanks for the ideas!!
