First post here….this is an Adirondack chair, table and footstool (obviously. ha!) that i recently did from treated pine. I haven’t been able to put a finish on it because the wood is still a bit wet (I hate treated pine). I must say, this chair is extremely comfy. Enjoy! :)

Very interesting design for the back support – I haven’t seen this one yet.

Great job!

Thanks Bob. I got that design from one of my woodworking books. I like the back support because it makes the chair a lot stronger and I think it will hold up better. Who knows. =) Only one way to find out.

Boy, that is a good looking chair, and nicely done.
What woodworking book did you get the pattern from?
I would like to build a couple like it…
thanks,

The chair I got from “The Complete Book of Woodworking”, which is an awesome book.

The footstool and table I based off a couple pictures and made up my own template for the footstool legs.

Thanks for the nice comments. :)

Treated Pine can be a pain. Have you made anything from Western Red Cedar wood? Would love to see some photos.

RickandLinda…I haven’t made any adirondack chairs from WRC but I did make this bench a couple months back: http://lumberjocks.com/projects/50206

Have your say...
