This small box was made as gift, the idea was that it would store the persons favorite CD’s.
The sides are made out of birch and the top is made out of hawthorne the inlays is also birch.
I made my first attempt to make my own hardware on my metal milling machine on this project, the highs is made out o polished aluminum.
The hawthorne tree has been growing in my parents garden 20 years ago or so, then it was cut down I know nothing about how to dry wood so most of the wood has splintered massively. But some peaces of this beautiful wood I have been able to use for small projects like this.
