Eel, I used to catch a lot of these with my dad back in the 60s the he love to eat them I never cared for them myself.

Very cool project, I like eating smoked eel when we go out for sushi, being I’m nit a big fan of raw fish like Blondie. I run across a bunch of them while scuba diving though.

Nice work all the way around on this, I like the coloring as well.

Love the finish… the entire piece!

Hi Skip, I’m from New Zealand and do a lot of fishing, love it, i do something simler to you but more in the Intarisa line. A few months ago i got onto a website called this guy is amazing but on his site he has plans for a copycarver which i thought was very intersting. Bugger me a couple of weeks later there was one on our Trademe site built by a local guy and wanted to sell it. One look and i bought it( cheap to) he had made a beautiful job exact to the plans,it works a treat and makes the job so easy,well worth a look.Love your carving you do a great job.
