Cider Grinder and press

This cider press frame is treated 4”x4”’s and the deck which the juice drains unto is hard maple 2”x2”’s laminated. The pulp baskets are rock oak and the grinder drum is oak with stainless steel screws’. The press lid is rock oak.The screw Press is a machine screw with acme threads. It has 10” wheels on one end which raise and lower for protablity. I have added a short video of the cider press in action. Hope you like it.

Welcome to Lumberjocks, great projects you posted, even if I prefer my rattlesnakes as hatbands, I like
the cider press, but never mind the video, just send a couple of gallons of the cider so I can decide whether
it is better than ours, LOL. Hope you enjoy your shop for many more years. The cradle for the great grand
daughter is good looking, and I am sure it will help keep the little one quiet. I got to hold my newest
great daughter Saturday about 15 minutes after she was born, they are just too special. Thank you for
sharing.

I need to make a similar press. Where does one find the press screw like that? And how does the shaft attach tp the wood grinding drum? Any suggestions, dimensions, pics, etc would be greatly accepted! Ron
